Harmony Susalla’s Craft Resolutions for 2012:
“I have been mulling this question for some time…. and I guess the answer would be…
I live near three Pomo Indian rancherias and have been very impressed with their basket making. I’d like to learn how to make a traditional pine needle basket. In my mother’s front yard is a Canary Island Pine tree which has very long needles. I hear it is perfect for making the baskets. So my goal for 2012 is to make a basket for my mom using the needles from her tree.”
“My business goal for 2012 business wise is to offer LOW minimum EXCLUSIVE designs printed in the USA on organic cotton fabrics to small businesses. At the moment we are testing the base fabric and if all goes well, we should be able to roll out this option to our existing wholesale customers in the first quarter of 2012.”

Harmony Susalla is the owner and designer for Harmony Art, an organic fabric company featuring GOTS certified, fresh, colorful solids and prints. Designs are inspired by nature and created to protect it. Strictly organic since 2005.
