As many of you know Christine Schreier of The Puppenstube decided on Winter Solstice Eve to give away all 11 of her gnomes instead of the one she had originally offered. Tree, who was listed as winner #11 blogged her story and photo of the gnome she received from Christine, with her daughter. It is very sweet. Thank you Tree!

Pradis,
The link for her blog is not working. I love these gnomes. I have one myself.

Oh that little tree shaped gnome home is just the dearest thing!
Greetings!
2010 was one of the hardest years I have ever lived through.
With your magazine and all the lovely photos and inspiration, I feel moved to create to heal some of the wounds created during last year.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful joy you spread!
Enjoy every minute,
Emily De Palma
These are such beautiful and inspiring designs. Thank you for the ideas. I will try several.
I found an issue of Living crafts a month ago – at our bookstore – I was stoked! This was totally absorbing, and I found myself just pulled to the wool and felting -. It too has been a very meagre year – but create does not die-although this year I thought alot, but didn’t seem to be able to get anything done -
Usually I am composing (music, choral) but have always loved costuming & wearables, and always saved wool items from thrift stores. Now I know WHY!!! LOL!
I spent last week re-learning how to knit, to pass the eves, surprised me!
Your magazine (my yule present to ME), just super-recharged me – and I love the USEFUL applicable clothes, crafts and designs – really got me going! Thank you for pulling me back into hands-on! I I I really want to get set up + back into designing -
